A Manatee County manufacturing supervisor was involved in a vehicle crash. The client was transported to a local hospital for treatment. As a result, the Florida Highway Patrol officer investigating the case failed to follow the legal steps necessary to draw blood for legal purposes. Mr. Dirmann filed a motion to suppress the blood test. The court granted the motion to suppress and the .182% and .183% test results were excluded from evidence. The DUI charge against the client was dismissed.
 
A Manatee County man was charged on Longboat Key with Felony DUI with Serious Bodily Injury.  After Mr. Dirmann took numerous discovery depositions of the Longboat Key police officers and other witnesses, the state prosecutor reduced the charge to a misdemeanor DUI and the client entered a no contest plea.
 
A Sarasota woman was charged by the City of Sarasota police with DUI with Property Damage and Personal Injury.  After a review of the facts of the case and the manner in which the police investigated the case, all charges were dismissed against the client.
 
A young man was stopped while driving on McIntosh Road by a deputy sheriff.  After hiring Mr. Dirmann, the state prosecutor agreed to reduce the charge of DUI to Reckless Driving, and the client entered a no contest plea to that charge.
 
A Sarasota County man was charged with DUI, 3rd offense.  Mr. Dirmann was successful in engaging an expert to contest the State’s scientific evidence, and rather than going to trial, the state prosecutor agreed to a sentence of probation with no jail.
 
A local chef was stopped for suspicion of DUI.  After an investigation of all of the facts, the state prosecutor agreed to reduce the charge to Reckless Driving.  The client entered a plea to the charge of Reckless Driving.
 
A Sarasota County businessman was stopped by officers from the Florida Fish and Game Commission while boating.  Because the field exercises were conducted on a floating dock which moved, the state prosecutor agreed to reduce the charge from Boating Under the Influence to Reckless Operation of a Vessel.
 
A local Sarasota artist was charged with DUI, 3rd offense.  After extensive discovery and review of personnel records of the police officers involved in the case, all charges were dismissed against the client.
 
A Manatee County business woman was charged with DUI while driving home from a dinner meeting.  After reviewing all of the breath test machine records, discrepancies were found and the state prosecutor agreed to reduce the charge to Reckless Driving.
