In May 2007 the Sarasota County Bar Association presented the James Slater Professionalism Award to Mr. Dirmann.  This award is given to a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association who practices in the area of criminal defense and who exemplifies the qualities that made James Slater one of the most respected attorneys in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of Florida.  This award was presented to Mr. Dirmann by Circuit Court Judge Rick DeFuria of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit.
